Heron Long by shantwin

Heron Long

Discovery Park, Seattle

A lazy Sunday where I should have gotten more done, but didn't and so I'm putting another shot up from my ultra foggy walk with Paula and Donna on Saturday.

I took loads of heron shots witht the thought that I wanted to croop to just a heron and water and fog with the heron and its reflection being the only items in the shot, but I ended up liking this one with the rock in the background as well.

Now I need to figure out how to get this printed large in an off size. You would think I would print out a shot now and then, but with the exception of some of the ones I take for and of my kids I really don't and when I do it's in the sizes that are most common; 4x6, 8x10, etc. It's the research part that really does me in, and paying for it of course.

edit: crop and move to B&W and some play with exposure
Wonderful crop!

Wonderful! You picked right. The stone helps to tell the fog-story. It could have been a little more to the right though. You can try editing, with the one colour background it is easy. And if you're at it try flipping the head. looking into the picture is so much friendlier. Oh sorry. I let myself go :-) finding an affordable off size printshop could be hard indeed! Good luck, the picture sure is worth it!
