Cool Kids

There was a cold wind on the top of Whistler Mountain, and we were all ready to descend on the chair lift. As we travelled down we passed mountain bikers travelling in the opposite direction, high above the rocky slopes, but too cool to use the pull-down safety bar on the chair lift. Their Mum’s would have a fit if they knew. Their bikes travelled separately on another chair lift. Our downward trip was against the cold wind, and we were glad to reach the bottom, warming up as we climbed the steep track to the gondola station, where we caught another gondola for the 3 mile trip across to the neighbouring peak of Blackcombe Mountain.
Hehe, way too cool for safety measures :)

I bet their parents didn't know that they didn't put the safety rail down. Thank goodness they had their safety helmets on! Great candid. Fav

What an adventure! Good candid that captures the cold and the isolation on the mountaintop.

Cool in so many ways! They look utterly freezing with all that lycra and bucking the safety system adds to the coolness.
