It took a few days to re-accustom ourselves to England’s green and pleasant land after the rocky pointy bits of the Rockies and Coastal Mountains in Western Canada. Our part of the UK is gently rolling, but seemed distinctly flat for the first few days.
I wasn’t looking forward to returning from the late summer of Western Canada to British autumnal winds and rain, with muddy boots and even muddier dogs, but to my relief the weather had been dry and warm, which continued to be the case after our return. The evening were clear and still, and, more importantly, still light until mid-evening, which meant that I still didn’t have to clock watch at the end of the afternoon to ensure that I was home in time got an evening dog walk before dusk. The clear skies seemed to cross the continents, since 365 was full of moon images. Here is my contribution, albeit a little later than the rest. Taking two dogs for a walk can be challenging, but adding a tripod is too much to expect, and so I rely on a high ISO and a fast shutter speed, or, where available, a friendly gate-post.
Great shot of the moon and enjoyed your tale of returning home. I love in Oregon and my son live in Vancouver BC, Canada and I go up and visit him and really love it up there. I've been through the Rockies more than once in my life and they are beautiful. You captured the moon really well.
