The first day of a long weekend in Yorkshire with @ros3 was positively summery. In fact, after days of quite cool weather, the early afternoon dog walk was almost too warm, since, by habit, we were a little bit overdressed, but the evening dog walk was pleasantly windless and cool, without being chilly, enhanced by a sunset silhouetting trees and farm buildings to the west. I would love to explain that I enjoyed a wonderfully peaceful stroll in the gentle dusk at the end of day, but when @shepherdmanswife and @ros3 get together, having not seeing each other for a gossip for a while, it is definitely not peaceful. At some point over the weekend one of them commented that they hadn't seen much wildlife during our dog walks, and wondered why. From where I was standing it was obvious….
