We went to a family party in Hampshire at the weekend, and since we were a bit early we met up with children and grandchildren who had travelled down from Yorkshire. The obvious place to meet on such a gorgeous sunny day was in a pub garden, which had a play area for the children. It was one of my granddaughters that spotted this red admiral as we were rushing out of the car park to head for the party venue. It was a bit of a rushed shot, since I could hear @shepherdmanswife entreating me to “Hurry up!!” as she waited by the car. I think that she was ready to party.
Well I'm sure that despite being ready to party she would understand the need to get a shot! Lovely red admiral - and you've caught that amazing face beautifully!
