It’s been a few years since we visited Liverpool Dock, and wandered around the variety of shops that overlook Albert Dock. We used enjoy browsing among the craft and gift shops, art shops and independent cafes. This time we were a little disappointed to find that nearly all of the “outlets” around the docks were chain restaurants and coffee shops, although I am relieved to report that McDonalds hasn’t established itself in the area yet. We did enjoy strolling alongside the River Mersey though, remembering regular trips to the City when my step-daughter, @shepherdmanswife ‘s daughter, was at University in Liverpool.
