Like many folk in the UK we woke to snow this morning – not exactly deep and crisp and even, but enough to make it worth leaping out of bed and heading out with the camera. @shepherdmanswife headed north, to Bradgate Park and Calke Abbey, but I had church duties to attend to, and so I took the dogs up onto Croft Hill, at the top of our Lane, getting there before most of the “tourists” arrived with their sledges. It may not have been up to the standard of snow-scapes of North Leicestershire and South Derbyshire, but it was perfectly satisfactory considering that it was only 2 minutes from the front door.
It's a very inviting walk up through the trees and always good to get out before everyone else churns it up. No snow in the West Country - just murky, drizzly weather. Fav.
Same weather with us today. It has been cold but some beautiful wintry scenes. It was hard to choose what shot to put on my project today I had taken so many.
