Croft Service of Remembrance by shepherdman

Croft Service of Remembrance

Wreaths ready to be handed to local dignatories, and community group leadrers for laying at the village war memorial. As always I took the dog – Tia is the third dog to sit quietly at my side during the service over the years. The 2 minute silence was only broken by bird song and the church clock chiming the hour. Tia was not even fazed by the firing of a (recorded) canon at the end of the 2 minute silence. It is a lovey outdoor service in the centre of the old village, especially on a day of warm autumn sunshine, as today was.
Thank you for posting your Remembrance day picture & your text. We should never forget & give a thought to all those who today are in places of conflict & stand to defend our freedom,.

A thoughtful picture - for us all to remember those who have given everything. May we never forget.

Lovely capture. Yes, our dogs go to events like this with us. They'd rather go than stay at home along, even if they have to sit in the car and wait for us......
