Pasts its prime by shepherdman

Pasts its prime

We missed the suoer moon, thanks to a blanket of thick grey cloud on the night in question. Our best moon-views have been on either side of the main event. 3 days before The Main Event I was returning home from work at 2.30am, and the almost-full moon hung over the lights of a local shopping centre. By the time that I got home the moon had already almost sunk bekow the horizon. This morning my timing was better, with a view of the moon above an electricity pylon. After many years of walking in the vicinity of the pylons, I have never noticed that they were numbered.
Stunning view of it. fav

Perfect title for this wonderful capture -- love how you framed it, and all the detail you captured in the craters. Fav.

Your title says it all. That's one of the most lopsided moon images I've ever seen.

I like the raggedy texture on the edge of the moon during this phase. It makes it more three dimensional. You've captured that aspect so well. Fav

Well framed. I am not sure pylons bear too much contemplation -- I always decide they are much more complicated than they look.

One of the better 'moonshots' we've seen this week - Fav.
