This morning, with a clear sky, and just a slight delay, our dog walk was almost in daylight from start to finish. Well, a sort of pre-dawn daylight, anyway. A we dropped down to the lower of the fields behind our home, there was a sudden chill like walking into large refridgerator. Oddly, instead of the expected low lying mist, the layers of fog floated above the hedgerows, From the riverside "cows field" I looked back to these three trees emerging from the mist alongside the track that leads back up to our Lane.
