Charlestown Harbour by shepherdman

Charlestown Harbour

Thanks to sideways rain on the first day of our holiday, we explored the local harbour, watching seals who were watching a fishing boat preparing nets before heading for the Atlantic, no doubt in anticipation of fish, left in the nets, being thrown overboard. We watched as the boat winched a long trawl net from the harbour quay, before it chugged out to sea for a night of fishing.
Fishing nets and equipment make great subjects. Wonderful colours and textures in this.
