The paths and tracks around us are still frozen after snow and frost earlier in the week, although in places, where the boughs of trees protect from the worst of the overnight freeze, the mud is softening. With a bit of care the surrounding ice can still be used to walk around the mud, which stayed in situ instead of comong home on boots and paws
