Hoverflies on elderflower buds during a somewhat stressful morning walk for Tia. We regularly meet a friend, who, with other dog owners, regularly walks a pack of at least a dozen dogs. They are all well behaved and well controlled, but they are noisy. Tia is not a fan of noisy packs, and tends to turn tail and head home when she hears the barks, the homeward route involving a crossing of a road. A sharp "WAIT!" stops her in her tracks and allows me to put her on a lead. This morning, to her relief, the pack headed off of our path before we met, but Tia still looked nervously over her shoulder as the barking receded into the distance.
