Had to wait for a train to cross the level crossing at lunch time today. It was pouring with rain, so with engine off, I took this photo of the train passing through the rain.
I'm so fed up with this weather. Not only has it rained all day, but the wind has been so strong too. There were several short branches, bits of trees on the road on my way home.
A field that has been flooded for several days had waves crashing at the side of the field as the wind blew the flood so hard it looked like a lake!
No, I didn't use the oil paint filter, or any other filter on this. The rain did it for me. This is SOOC (straight out of camera, for newbies! :))
Thank you all for your continuous support, your comments, criticisms and faves. I'm sorry that I am lagging behind with commenting on yours but life's getting in the way of 365 at the moment! Will try to catch up with all your wonderful photos soon.
@paul2782 Yes, you are quite right Paul. I feel so sorry for those people. What a nightmare they are going through. I shouldn't complain, but with 2 large dogs that need walking twice a day, in whatever weather is being thrown at us, its very time consuming with the hosing down of them both and the drying etc! Roll on the frost or spring!
Fantastic shot. My sister lives in the UK and she has been telling me about the amount of rain you have had. Where I live in Australia we have had 10 mm rain since the beginning of December. We could do with some of yours.
Love the effect you got here, and the bits of colour in the middle of all the grey. This winter is turning into a marathon, with snow for us here and rain for you over there,
It is miserable isn't it! A workmate had all the fields round her house flooded just before Christmas, it still looks like she now lives beside the sea! Great capture of a miserable day!
superb capture......feel for you with the furkids to take out. We have cats, who have free run inside and out.......why did I opt for cream carpets/bedding.........thank heavens for my Vax and washing machine!
