Took this from behind the rose with the sun in front of it which I think gives lovely light to the petals.
This is our first rose to open in the garden this year.

@shepherdmanswife if all goes to plan yes! I have a nightmare with childcare as my husband is at rugby practice but think my parents are going to help out. That sounds really interesting.
The light is certainly making the petals beautiful, lovely colour. The whole picture seems full of light. My roses just started flowering the other day too.
Beautiful, have been away for two days and on my return I found 3 roses in full bloom, lovely. Like how you have captured this rose from behind, really clever.
