@lwain No it is a different variety. I bought 4 very small plants in spring and ended up with 2 different sorts. Yesterdays petals don't seem to go backwards like the typical cone flower, but is still an echinacea.
OK, this is just FAVulous!!! I must click so that I can revisit again!! Seriously, the composition, that yummy orange red against the bokelicious green background, the way the flower is rising out of thin air....just beautiful!!
Instant fav for this gorgeous echinacea shot, Chantal. I love the colours of the hybrid echinaceas. I fell in love with these flowers last summer in Edwards Gardens, and if anything I love them even more this year. The shading on the petals and the soft green bokeh are especially lovely here.
