This butterfly was enjoying the nectar whilst I was picking the bounty. So many blackberries this year and so much bigger than usual! Blackberry and Apple Jam on the way...yummy!
@mzzhope yes I make jam and chutneys. Have already made the blackcurrant jam, raspberry jam and strawberry jam. The blackberries are in the freezer as I pick about a 1lb each couple of days! Delicious!
Oh Chantal, I almost wish I was at home to go blackberry picking! No point making the jam though as I need to watch my sugar intake. I love the shot and the light in it.
fav! very well photographed. I remember blackberry collection in the woods of my youth back in northern France and the homemade jam. I also remember the thorns, the nettles and the spiders during those collections.
