another mountain peak taken at dusk with the last of the suns rays lighting the tip.The clouds hovering around it and mist rolling in. The trees below are not very visible due to the drop in light.
This was taken from a car park in Squamish B.C. What a view to see from the town!
@lucypics we are home unfortunately. It was the best holiday ever and we didn't want to come back. You would love all the creatures there. The chipmunks and red squirrels that run up your legs for food, the marmot that ran straight into my lens (no shot there then!) and then ran off when he realised he wasn't going to be fed, mummy black bear with baby who strolled past our car, elk that tried to catch me! I could go on...We are planning our next trip there already but it takes a lot of saving the pennies. One day!
@lucypics we were very lucky that my brother has a friend living in Squamish who he asked to put us up. She said yes. We had never met her or spoken to her. Within 2 minutes of meeting her in her house it ws like we were long lost friends. Was amazing! Hopefully she is coming over for Christmas to stay with us. What do we show her in the Midlands? I guess we have lots of historical buildings that Canadians don't have. Can't give her mountains! Anyway, half of our holiday was rent free. From there we spent a week in hotels in the Rockies. Both places were wonderful as Squamish is in the Coastal mountain range.Putting these photos on keeps the memories alive.
gorgeous photo! One of my favorite things about photography is its ability to transport a viewer to a different time or place, and this sure has transported me!
