the world go by from the top of Whistler Mountain where the winter olympics were held in 2010.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all that faved yesterdays shot. 100 FAVES!! WOW!!!
When daughter graduated from Hotel & Restuarant Management in 2009, she really wanted to work at the 2010 Olympics so she applied and got a job. She moved to Pemberton (just outside of Whistler) for the year before the Olympics and then worked in the food services in the Whistler athletes village. It was an extrordinary experience. She especially enjoyed the athletes from the para olympics that occured after the regular olympics. Since we have a son who lives in Seattle, we decided to spend that Christmas out west. With incredibly beautiful scenes like this, I could have stayed forever!
I can only imagine the view from where these two people are sitting!!! Mountains are my thing, all though I no longer live near them. When I lived in Alaska, I remember staring out the windows during class at the mountains!! They are just so majestic and you have captured that here in this photo!!! Love the waves of blue and the snow caps!! Gorgeous, feeling of awe, scenery!! HUGE FAV!!!
@cashew thank you Kathy and thanks for the follow. I have put lots more mountain views on during the past 3 weeks so feel free to have a look. My husband @shepherdman also has some very nice shots of our Canadian holiday.
When people tell me I do well with my photography I show them yours and say this is what I aspire too. Glad you and others like you are on here to inspire me to be better.
