We saw deer at Wollaton park yesterday. Littlest has now taken to screeching like deeds chasing each other. My battery ran out before we got to the deers but as littlest told eldest that we saw "reindeer" we are going back sometime over half term.
Great capture! I love going to Bradgate Park - beautiful place and you can get so close to the deer. Rutting season is especially interesting. I love the sound of the Stags bellowing. Hoping to get there myself in a couple of weeks time.
love the pose -- and just the faintest hint of possible civilization beyond. He's on the edge. So nice of all these deer to stand still for you in such lovely positions!
great image - I love bradgate the deer are so close and you can just wander round at leisure - I did the rutting season last year and thoroughly enjoyed it
@shepherdmanswife - yes I live in burton - about an hours drive so when I was doing this last year was getting up at around five to give me plenty of time to get there to get the image I wanted. Was particularly after a stag against the sunrise and I got one! - are you local or did you have to travel
@lorrainelouise I live south of Leicester near Croft. Takes about 25 minutes by car to Bradgate. Do you fancy a meet up next week at Bradgate at dawn as I didn't get there early enough and the weather wasn't that good to get the shot that you did or the rutting without the paparazzi photo bombing my pics! I reckon we would need to get there by 7am.
