I was up on the hill looking down the road where the parade would come, down to the war memorial. The sun was shining brightly. What a contrast to yesterday's rain! The sun shone on the road and created shadows, my camera not picking up much detail as I was shooting into the bright light. At this point in time, people were milling around trying to get the best viewpoint for when the parade arrived and the service began.
Wonderful shot. I agree with Newbank Lass (@newbank). I keep looking at this photo. Sometimes I'm looking at the details in the people. Sometimes just defocusing/squinting to see the overall shape of light and dark. Both are intriguing.
