ahhh I am so glad you posted these - I saw some at the plant fair the other weekend and was sure I had some - when I went back to find the name I couldn't find them - aren't they lovely?
This is interesting with a real narrow slice of focus through the picture. I wouldn't have expected that at f 5.6 but it works very well to highlight the flowers.
@gardencat I think it has a narrow dof because it was a zoom lens taken from a distance. I think if I'd used my macro it would have been a very different shot.
Love the pov - spend a lot of time down these days! - have to put my finger in the back of my sneaker and push to get back up (it works) - the focus is really great and love the bright color.
@shepherdmanswife That explains the DOF...I've had something similar happen when I'm out with my 400mm lens on and decide to take a close up picture of a flower or something.
