Another day of frost got me out early again. In yesterdays shot taken the day before this one, I walked locally from home. For this one I drove from south Leicester to Bradgate Park (about 30 minute drive). I arrived a little late to get there before the sun rose above the horizon, then realised, in my rush to get out, that I'd left my handbag at home, with purse and works id. I couldn't pay for the car park so had to leave and find on street parking. I got into the park and looked for deer stags but didn't see any in my rush against the sunrise. I almost didn't get my camera out as I was so flustered and disappointed but did get this shot, which I quite like. Anyway, I had to battle the rush hour traffic to get home, collect money and id, then get in the rush hour traffic all the way back into work. Not a good start to the day!
Extremely beautiful. I just love the stream and river zigzagging into the distance and the frost and the color in the sky of course. It's all wonderful.
You are amazing to be getting up early on cold mornings to take photos and especially when you have to go to work. I miss the rosy dawn light all year, except in summer in Maine. You went through a lot of aggravation but got a great shot.
