Backpack

I loved this leather backpack as soon as I saw it 20 years ago in a cobblestone marketplace in Rhodes, Greece. The vendor told me it would change color and get softer and more beautiful with sun exposure and daily use. I carried my journal in it throughout my trip and every time I've used it since then I am reminded of that wonderful place and time. Nothing opens our hearts and minds like travel.
Sure wouldn't guess that it was 20 years old - what a love backpack to own.

Lovely sidelight - it really brings out the details and textures; I can almost feel the leather as I'm looking at the image!

I've been to Rhodes too! Not to the marketplace but did have a tasty lunch at an open-air vendor's cart. I enjoyed wandering around and photographing all the architecture and the Holocaust Memorial I stumbled upon by accident. Love the close-up of the stitch work on your beautiful pack.

@olivetreeann It's such an ancient and awe-inspiring place! The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights is my most memorable architectural experience. Thanks for sharing.
