Got a $9 reversing ring from Amazon that allows you to put your lens on your camera backwards creating a macro lens of sorts. Very Interesting! I've done close-ups for years and have wanted a macro for just as long. The reversing ring was an option to working with macro until the funds are saved....
So, WOW! Macro is a whole new world! MUCH different than I thought it would be! So all the pics snapped today were from my 18-55 using the reversing ring. Mostly no clue what I was doing. Definitely had to pull out the tripod and the remote. Can't say the torenia is the most pretty flower I've ever seen close up, but it had the prettiest colors today.
@shesnapped Really nice capture x especially with the extreme shallow depth of field! If you look on ebay exc, you can find macro extensions, they are around £15-£20 so what $10-$15 depending which dollar of course! I got a whole set when I first started out and they were so much fun! @icamera :D for the kit lens they are really cheep and I loved the results from mine :D
