Eye of the Tiger

More work with flash. Post processed this one and worked on warming it up a little. Critique requested!!!
Did you do this with a flash? Its not glaring but quite muted. The whiskers really stand out!

Nice textures but I'd like to see the light of the cat's eye

I like Sues comment, that catch light is really important. Have you looked at different ways of placing the flash? Pointing it to the ceiling to bounce the light off will give you a wonderful soft diffused light (provided you have a white ceiling and not a colored one!) but if you place a piece of white card at the back of the flash it will push some of the light forward which will be picked up in the cats eyes. Best trick I know for indoor flash! without a softbox and light stand x

Great close up and nice textures.

Love the composition and cropping, fantastic focus and I like the depth of field. For flash image it feels slightly underexposed but that could be an artistic preference on your part and I also agree with others that a catchlight in the eye would add some extra "life" to this very nice image. Good stuff!

@maggiemae @peterlgrave @kwind @joemuli @swilde @amyleewinfield @anazad511 @icamera @eyeamlisa Thanks you guys! I've compared my phone to my computer screen, and there's definitely a difference. So I've reposted this one. Will you look at the new posting and critique it as well?

SO grateful for your time and comments!!!!

@shesnapped I also have a bit of a difference between my computer and the site. I have tried adjusting the screen, but havent had any luck yet. It I notice that it is too dark, I edit it from pic monkey on the site by increasing the exposure by a stop. It's a bit frustrating.

@karlow75 I need to look at that pic monkey. I've seen it, but never looked at it. Good idea. Thanks!
