A water droplet is definitely a tiny thing; amazing how the sun that's some 149,600,000 km away found it and made it sparkle. You've created a pretty picture with the scene.
Congratulations on the new grandchildren! I've just looked through all the pictures you've shared; how absolutely darling and precious those twins are. You took some wonderful photos of them. Looking forward to seeing them grow and change in the many pictures yet to come.
hi Ashley... this has come up lovely with really nice tones... congrats on the birth of your son's twins, btw... i hope they are able to have some help over the coming weeks - one newborn can be hard work... two are exhausting!
we're paired for get pushed this week... are you still up for playing? i see you're a few days behind on your project...
anyway, if you are still up to play, then my challenge for you is to work on lighting in a set up shot... pick a mundane object in your house - could be just a spoon out of the kitchen drawer... find some random light (a desk lamp, sun coming in the window, flashlight, candlelight)... and set up a shot paying attention to how you are using the light and what the shadows are doing...
@northy Thank you for the challenge! I'm behind on posting since I've been away at the babies' house and have not had access to my real monitor. The laptop just doesn't work well for processing! I've taken a zillion pics and will end up back loading to fill all the days. Time will he short since I have to get caught up at work from my time off, by it will all get done eventually! Thank you again!
@northy Hey there! I have a question for you regarding the challenge. Did you challenge me with this assignment because you saw a need to learn something in particular that is lacking from my photos? If so, will you point me in the right direction? I just want to make sure I get the most out of this experience!
@shesnapped hi Ashley... sorry... i usually do give a bit more of a background... i think i got too caught up in looking at those gorgeous babes :)
in looking through your project there is a lot of emphasis on subject... mostly lit with natural light... possibly i missed it, but it doesn't seem as though there are many images where emphasis is on light and shadow with you working to control them... hence my challenge... the objective is to practice making the make the most of available light... if this is actually something you do a lot of, just let me know, and i will set something else :)
@northy Yeah. No, you nailed it! I'm horrible without my natural light. I'll skip photos of I don't have my natural light, so this is definitely a get outside of my box exercise!
And thank you for the comment on the babies. I'm missing them so terribly right now!

hope that works for you!
