Reflections 2

My get pushed challenge this week is "an image that involves a reflection of some sort ... could be mirror, water or anything else". We've had rain here all week which would have been fantastic for some puddle shots, but, alas, it's been a week of all work and no play. Literally. Pushing to get a project done by Monday, and therefore putting in 2 hours at night after having been at the office all day. However, when Paula extended the challenge to me, the FIRST thing I thought about was all the shots I had taken on March 29th at Blackwater that I've never posted. There was something about the reflections that day that demanded noticing. Never before have the reflections caught my eye so insistently like they did. So, I know these are not officially eligible to be in the running for the weekly challenge, but I'm posting them in honor of the challenge and in lieu of being able to actually participate this week, and because I've been meaning to anyway. So Paula, thank you for the challenge. Even tho I haven't had the opportunity to shoot any photos this week, you motivated me to post the ones that I've been meaning to post!

This was the first spot I noticed the reflections that day. This strip of water in the "woods" part of the wildlife drive never catches my attention. I usually just drive right on through this section because it's shaded, buggy, dank, dark, etc, etc, etc. But as I was driving thru, my eyes kept being drawn back to the water, and I realized how captivating the reflections were. It was like the water was calling out my name. No kidding. Irresistible.

It certainly pays to keep your eyes open for great shots like this. Lovely even before the edit.
