The little girl again! She tends to hold still. The little boy is a whirlwind. Getting him in focus is tough!
I chose this shot because her eyes are in good focus. That's always my biggest challenge with these two. I'm always so impressed with Tracy's photos @tracys of her children's eyes, and this is the closest I've come to achieving results like hers. One of the issues I encountered today was shooting f2.8 and having only one eye in focus.
The other issue I ran across today was the fact that all my shots were composed with the little ones pretty much centered. That's because I typically only utilize my one center focus point rather than taking advantage of any of the other 18 that I potentially could. So I pulled out my manual yet again to remind myself how to switch my focal points as well as my focal areas. UGH! One day I'll actually remember and maybe even master being able to switch smoothly!
