Then there were two. by shirleybankfarm

Then there were two.

I quite often have two squirrels in my garden but it is not often they are as peaceful as this. They are normally fighting or chasing each other off the feeders. Notice the different colours of their tails. The one on the top actually has quite a dark back as well. Both have been to the feeders before but individually. The top one was feeding on the peanuts from the bird feeders, while the bottom one the squirrel feeder.
Love red squirrels. So rare to see them nowadays, and am always on the look out when up in Cumbria .....This is beautiful and an immediate fav:-)

@cmp @mariam66 @bruni @hermann @gijsje @maggiemae @deborah63 @annepann @koalagardens @tonydebont @onewing @pyrrhula @roachling Thank you all for your comments and getting this picture to the PP. I love to watch these little creatures and consider myself very lucky to have them visit as I know there are not many places around that have reds anymore. Even in Cumbria most areas have the Greys. Bruni, he just hung head first downwards, hanging on to the top of the feeder with his feet and just pull the nuts out like the birds do. Louise, this is an area of the garden we don't do a lot with, the grass isn't cut very much either, the birds and squirrels seem to like it and I don't mind the mess they make up there either.
