THE PIE HOLE ... you can smell the aroama of the pizza cooking from on the street. By the slice or whole, you can eat inside or outside...the window opens out to the street for walk up ordering.
For the street photography now challenge-week 1
@marilyn Yep, it sure is. Ok, this is one reason I love 365, (and there are a ton of reasons to love this forum) I did not even know this restaurant was in Moscow. The street photography now challenge got me out and walking the side streets of Moscow and I found this place, I guess it has been open for a year...arrrgh! Taking the hubby to dinner there tongight for date night...he LOVES pizza and with watchig our weight and high cholesterole we don't eat as much pizza as we would like. This will be a treat!
@anndee I took this for the street photography now challenge and I thought the B&W gave it a more grittier feel??? Maybe I should have left it in color. What are your thoughts? I know not all street photography has to be B&W, but it seems like many of the great photography do all of their work in B&W.
I definitely like the B&W. I was just curious about what happened with color with the neon sign. Although, I wonder if you would then focus on the sign and not the person inside the pizza shop which is probably more interesting and primary in your intent. Since I've been trying to take some photos in my favorite restaurant with a neon sign, I was wondering what your take was on it. I hope you have a nice date there.
@anndee Date night last night was fun.. the pizza was wonderful. I did try dong selective coloring with the neon sign, it was my first intent, but you are right it was a little distracting for what I was really focusing on and that was the pizzqa man. Is the neaon sign you are taking a pic of something unique and different? Maybe a close up of the sign with a some background around it and then do a secetive coloring, or a very wide ange with the whole store front and selective color on the sign with maybe of the rest of the photo at a lesser % of color like maybe at 50% more muted colors. I actually tried that as well and it looked pretty cool. In the end I did just go witht the B&W for the street photography now challenge. Have a great day ;)
