Old homestead near Uniontown, WA I think there was actually some poor soul that may have been sleeping here in the summertime. I took these pictures during the winter and is was very cold. No windows.
Wonderful collage, Shirley! You are braver than I am to go into an old house... but now that you have, Maybe I will get braver this summer when I (theoretically) will have some time! :)
@marilyn Boy I tell you, it really was pretty scary! My heart was thumping, and I kept waiting for something to jump out at me as I entered each room. Wouldn't you know it,jsut like you see in the horror flicks, since there were no windows, one of the doors slammed shut behind me...YIKES! As Imenitone di t did look like some homless / runaway must have been sleeping there the summer of 2011.
Now this is really exciting, actually looks like it was a very homey place to live , in it's day.,I would have been somewhat apprehensive to explore on my own, so You are one brave soul Shirley!! reminds me of some of the houises in the Ghost towns of Arizona where I spend winters, and sometimes explore these relics...looks likle a little paint and a few nails would actually fix this place right up!! Ha! Ha! ...Great Find!!
This is a great collage- each picture really could be posted on its own, especially the one in the lower right hand corner- those clouds are awesome! The few times I've photographed old barns I've wanted to go inside but two things always keep me out. One is I don't know the condition of the floors and I don't want to fall through. The other is critters- I'm so afraid something like a bat will come flying out at me! So you really are very brave! But your bravery paid off with a great montage of a building that must have had so many stories to tell!
