The rule of thirds is a compositional rule of thumb in visual arts such as painting, photography and design. The rule states that an image should be imagined as divided into nine equal parts by two equally-spaced horizontal lines and two equally-spaced vertical lines, and that important compositional elements should be placed along these lines or their intersections.
I've been there myself recently too Loni. That being said though, I have to say I really enjoy your photos and always look forward to seeing what you put up. There are about a dozen people I really admire here and you're one of them. :)
I love your photos Loni, please don't give up. I agree sometimes it is hard to find a picture that we think is worthy but that is the beauty of the project...our moods in our photos, good or bad.
