See You at the Pole!

Soooo proud of my daughter Shelby (the one with the book bag). She threw together a quick "See You at the Pole" event, which is a national day of prayer at school where kids gather around the flag pole before school for a quick bit of worship. Today was the day, and considering it's a small school and the fliers were just hung yesterday, there was a nice showing (about 12). Middle school was well-represented and even a couple of high school girls came. We all took note of the fact that no boys came, which gave us all a chuckle :-) Next year - more planning, more advertising, bigger crowd! Praise God!

Oh, and I can't forget Moe the pooch came, too!

how wonderful! We only had 4 people at ours (me, miranda and 2 other teachers)--not enough advertising about it---more will have to be done next year to let students know.

That's a really good turnout, given that fliers just went up yesterday. Nice shot!

I remember those! I'm glad she's taking the initiative. So young, yet already has strong character. Bravo Loni!

I am so amazed by reading this, as I have never heard of it in Australia
maybe it's something that we can see started instead of following the Halloween side of things.
