Alliums by shutterbug49

Alliums

Our senior community had a “walk it off walk” yesterday. We walked 2.5 miles around our neighborhood to walk off our Thanksgiving calories. I stopped at this spot to play with the 3 lenses on my iphone. This is with the 3X lens manually focusing on the front flower. Here is the series: https://365project.org/shutterbug49/52wc/2021-11-29
Beautiful tones in the flowers.

Beautifully captured, is this what we call wild garlic?

@ludwigsdiana They are definitely in the same family. The wild garlic I am familiar with has white flowers of similar shape. The alliums that they plant in our common areas have blue flowers. I might try pulling one up and smelling the stem and root to see. The flowers don’t have a stem.

Wow! I’ve just looked over your beautiful postings for this month. I see that you have the new iPhone and the results look fantastic. Do you like it?
I haven’t upgraded from the 12 pro max but I sure like what I see of the 13.

@jernst1779 I love it. As soon as they announced it would do macro I knew I would want it. They gave me a good price for my trade in iphone12 also. I am having a lot of fun with it.
