warming my feet by shutterbugger

warming my feet

...by the bokeh.
Not sure about this one. Would you like getting a Christmas card with someones feet on it? It's a bit dark. I like the relaxed feeling though.

This, my friends, is my very first raw and lightroomed photo. Not exactly sure what all the hype is about. I'm sure if I knew more about editing and all the tricks, I'd be more excited about the finished product. The only difference I saw was the file size when taken (16.5mb) and when finished (about 2.something)

I'm tired of this little challenge already. I'm not good with challenges, but I need a Christmas card! What I would really like is for it to snow....just a few flurries will do. Reverse macro snowflake on my red car would be amazing! Calling for freezing rain tonight but feels cold enough to snow. Lets hope!
love the bokeh - really pretty colours

This is the best yet & I'm pretty sure I said that yesterday but I truly like this the best !!! Shooting in RAW now that is something else !! My camera does RAW photos but would not completely know where to start but praps it's not all it's cracked up to be ..just bigger files !!

I love the warm feeling! Makes me want a hot chocolate!

I would totally dig this as a Christmas card, especially with Christmas'y socks like those:) But I'll wait til you've posted all of them til I give my final verdict. So this is RAW eh? I have to say the foreground looks sharper than it usually would? In my opinion? But that's easy to say when I'm not looking at the same shot not taken in RAW. I looooove that bokeh in the background!

this is very cozy looking and Christmas-y feeling. love the pretty bokeh!

LOL I read the title " Warning: my feet" but your feet look just nice and cosy here :) Maybe you could add more depth, have a huge mug of mulled vine steaming in your hands, then the feet peeking further, then the bokeh.... ?

Cute, but my two favs are the candy canes and frosty

Wow, great, love this composition! There are many advantages about shooting RAW, that you will discover with practice. One of the big differences is that you can change the white balance, and also modulate exposure. I just can't imagine shooting in jpeg anymore (well, I do with the P&S).

@kdimagery I'm putting all my xmas shots into a discussion tomorrow night. Help me choose my card? I need all the help I can get!
This was shot scrunched all the way down on the couch for maximum leg length. Might have to try it with something other than my 50 :) @janmaki

November 24th, 2011

That's right...it's up!! Our Thanksgiving was the beginning of Oct, and once Halloween is done Christmas is thrust upon us! A lot of people had their trees up in their windows the beginning of Nov! I held out....it didn't go up till the 18th :)@jennlouise @adeakinyede

Hahaaa... wow thats one loooooong Christmas celebration! Enjoy hun. :-)
November 25th, 2011
This card works well I think. It looks like you've just decorated the tree and now you're putting your feet up. :)
November 25th, 2011
It has a happy relaxed feel to it - love the Christmas bokeh!
November 25th, 2011
love the bokeh!
November 26th, 2011
This is a great shot! I shoot in RAW and find that the major daily benefits are adjusting white balance afterwards and exposure - its nice to be able to drop exposure down a few stops without anything looking wonky!
November 26th, 2011
Best bokeh ever....and I too like the relaxed feel. Can you not lighten up the feet somehow?
November 27th, 2011
I do think it's cute; but I'm not sure about for a Christmas card.
November 28th, 2011
