Went out shopping yesterday, for the sole purpose of getting a new coffee mug. We bought a Tassimo just after Christmas and my fav coffee is Nabob Breakfast. Seems you can only buy it for an extra large cup which I didn't have. I have big cups...but this needs a HoNkIn' cup!
Looked everywhere and found nothing until we went to Pier 1.
6 cups, in a wire rack. It's like slurping coffee out of a soup bowl...and I love them :)

My first thought, of course, was that'll make a great picture!

Tried my hand at making a watermark in photoshop today. I read some stuff, I watched some stuff and, once I opened the program, I got nowhere fast. I think I'm expecting too much too soon...it was frustrating. (boo hoo poor me)
Fabulous colours! I feel many more of shots of these mugs will come!

@sbothers Thanks Sarah! I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing lots of these...even if it's for background colour!

I heart coffee. Love pattern and colour like thhis, IKEA is my bestest shopping/photo trip.
January 16th, 2012
@chewyteeth I love Ikea too, but it's a 40min drive on a nasty busy highway. I don't go too often!
January 16th, 2012
@shutterbugger yeah ours is in Ashton in Greater Manchester, basically the Rottweilers go round in pairs in Ashton - Even the preschool nurseries have metal detectors on the student entrance. Bout 30 minitues away, but once you're inside its a maze of amazingness.
January 17th, 2012
Nice bright colours, only a BIG cup of coffee will do :)
January 17th, 2012
I absolutely love how bright this is!
January 17th, 2012
love that shot! i agree about large cups... when i drink tea, i'd like it in a pail, thank you very much :) ps - if you ever figure out watermarks, let me know! not that i'm ready for one yet - but maybe someday.... ???
January 17th, 2012
Ohhh....great colours! We had a tassimo but hubby wanted to take it to work. So, we're trying out the kreurig now
January 17th, 2012
@russianblue We bought the tassimo and we love it. Went to a Kreurig store yesterday to get coffee for our machine, and realised that there is WAY more K cup flavours! I was kinda mad!
January 17th, 2012
@northy Do you edit? When I started, I used Picnik.com. It's great and you can add text!
January 17th, 2012
@shutterbugger Go online to tassimo's website - you can even purchase European coffee there.
January 17th, 2012
Love the colors very creative.
January 17th, 2012
Really pretty!
January 17th, 2012
@shutterbugger i have photoshop elements, if that's what you're asking... i've been slowly trying to work thru using it... i know i can add text, but i didn't realize that's what created the watermark... hmmm... something else to explore!
January 17th, 2012
I LOVE this! I dig any photos with wild colors. Fav!
January 17th, 2012
omg I've learned exactly two things in photoshop now. And I spent all day trying to layer and mask properly the other day. SO frustrating. Love your mug rainbow - it's so shiny and happy looking:)

January 20th, 2012
How did I miss these, love it!!!
January 20th, 2012
@pwallis ~ You two learning PS on your own is impressive. I actually took a course....at a college....at night...for 3 hours at a time....and I paid them money.

Jenn, get composition with those vivids. White background spot-on...anything special you do to get those?
January 21st, 2012
Wow, I love colors so much and this one is amazing:)
January 21st, 2012
great colours!
January 21st, 2012
I love the colors
January 21st, 2012
@jgoldrup the background is white bristol board and I bounced the flash so there were no shadows. Can't remember what I did to it, but I'm sure I boosted saturation a bit.
As for photoshop, I suck! @pwallis seems to be doing much better than I am. My fruit shot? I tried to remove a seed. I was thrilled when I lassoed it and it disappeared but I couldn't get the lasso to go away! lol Had to call my brother, sent him the picture so he could tell me what to do....but he didn't call me back. That's as far as I've gotten :)
January 22nd, 2012
Making things disappear is a big step. I thought you could just click on another tool to make the previous one go away. But then again, I only use PS if I feel I have to, for layers and such.
January 23rd, 2012
@jgoldrup you have NO idea how many things I clicked on. Damn thing wouldn't go away! Oh well. I thought my deadish daisy might look nice with a slight linen overlay. What do you think?
January 23rd, 2012
Like an edited linen overlay or 'real' onion paper post-printing? If edited on you mean, I pretty much like it the way it is, hard to think of it differently.
January 23rd, 2012
@jgoldrup I love it as is too, but I think it's something I'd like to try...just to see. (just an added texture, no funny paper)
January 23rd, 2012
Oooh this is so colourful!
