Bit different from my normal photography style but what show visit would be complete without a photo?! I love the local show; the high-pitched screams from the rides, the dagwood dogs, fairy floss, showbags, creepy carnies, the livestock, woodchipping comps and all the wonderful colours, what isn’t to love. It was so fun going with Rory this year. Last year he was a bit too young to fully enjoy himself and there was the almost choking of the baby chick incident I won’t talk about. Rory’s favourite part of the show today would have to have been the farmyard animals. I thought he would’ve been more interested in the bigger animals but he was obsessed with the birds (ick!) and even walking from one exhibit to the next pretending to be a chicken; hands tucked up under the armpits, flapping madly. Moving on from the farmyard animals we came across the Beanie Bear. This giant big red and yellow person dressed in a bear suit that Rory was insane over. The look he was giving this bear could only be described as a look of love and the tears that came when the bear had to leave, OMG! After grabbing something to munch on we entered sideshow alley where we thought Rory might enjoy his first ever show ride. We picked a little ride with cars that slowly went around. He was pumped for it until he actually sat in the ride. Poor little bubba started to cry. He didn’t end up going on the ride but came close if that counts for anything.
I really like the angle of this one. Great thinking. I really like the processing too. Well done for stepping outside your comfort zone... it's really paid off for you!
Nice one :D
