Epauletted Bat by sicamore

Epauletted Bat

76 / 365
The Epauletted Fruit Bat in some trees near my house. This bat is only about 10-15cm long (4-6 Inches) and travels in packs. Quite a cute little thing. I had to climb about 10m into a tree and hang upside down to take this shot (only one is true)

I was going to say he looks like a fox too! And I never thought I'd say a bat was cute but he kinda is...

Super shot... I think bats may be the one thing I find super creepy, but I do think the face on this guy is kind of cute... but overall he is still super creepy!

that's amazing - great shot, love the face. UK bats, the biggest bat has about 12" / 30cm wingspan, the body is only about 2"/5cm. The smallest, most common has a wingspan of 6"/15cm and a body of about an 1"/2cm (the babies are very, very cute)

Great shot, I love bats, we used to get fruit bats gathering in a tree outside our bedroom window in Queensland - gorgeous things but a bit noisy!
