Best Friends

The family took a trip to Living Treasures. First the Bengal tiger came out of the den and laid down here. Then the white one came out, nuzzled the Bengal and laid down. Then they did some friendly showing of their teeth.
That is so cool. Looks like they could use a cleaning.

@cdonohoue - Thank you Cathy! The Bengal, I can't remember its name, was walking with a limp. We noticed a sign that said it has arthritis and was under veterinarian care. I don't know how old it might be.

@danette - Thanks!

@joansmor - I was shooting through Plexiglas. All of the cages in the park that has Plexiglas you have a terrible time of shooting without getting reflections. That's why this is cropped to an odd size. I wish they had installed it at an angle and maybe it would have cut down on the reflections.

@kerristephens - They are gorgeous! I have always bee fond of tigers. Maybe it has to do with my high school mascot was the Tigers.

@calm - They are. I love big cats. They have two lions, male and female, but they weren't cooperating. The whole time we were there they laid on the ground with their backs to the Plexiglas window.

@lynnz - Thank you Lynn! They are beautiful creatures!

What a great catch! I've seen signs for Living Treasures on the way to my in-laws, but we have never stopped! Is it worth stopping for?

@tabarlett - Thank you very much Tammy! I didn't think I was going to get a picture of them as they were both in their den. Then all of a sudden they became very active. Our Living Treasures is ell maintained. The animals look healthy. I would recommend you visiting it. Hint though, Many of the animals eat carrots. Buy you own at the store and take them with you. They charge you $3.50 a bag. But I guess the money goes to maintain the place,

@gilbertwood - Thank you very much Denise!

@paulam - Thank you Paula so much!
