@amyroseseine - Thank you! I have gone here the last two years. The Army Corp of Engineers leaves the gates open for walkers. You can't drive all the way into the park, but you do have access by foot.
@milaniet - The campground is a great attraction during the warmer months. It is well maintained so except for those few people who like to take their dogs and let them run unrestrained, it is a nice place to walk and enjoy nature.
@danette - Thank you! I don't know if the Army Corp of Engineers sells post cards or not. I think they have hired a professional photographer to take aerial shots of the dam that can be seen on their website.
@wearing0 - Thank you Debi! I was surprised have fast the light was changing in the short time I was there.
@gilbertwood - It is very nice. I have never camped there, but in talking to friends that have, they say it is nice. There are multiple camp site directors. One for each area, so there is always access to people if you have any problems. The site seem to be nicely spaced to campers aren't on top of each other to give you some privacy.
@vickisfotos - Thank you Vicki for the fav and awesome comment!
@olivetreeann - Hi neighbor! That is some beautiful country around the Gap! I have seen some beautiful photographs of some beautiful waterfalls and vistas.
@espyetta - Thank you very much MaryBeth!

@lynnb - It is. The campground is nicely laid out on a peninsula so there is a lot of paved roads to walk along the water's edge.
