With the snowy cold weather hanging on the Cardinals ( four pair), Blue Jays (11) and the usual Nuthatches, Chickadees, Titmice and Juncos have been constant visitors to the feeder from sunup to sundown. This is a SOOC shot except for my signature and some healing brush to remove some seed remnants on her beak.
First I hit the fav! Love the colors in this - would love it framed on a wall. Your Mrs. Cardinal is just gorgeous (with such a nice clean mouth) - the lighting is terrific. And I love your dof.
Skip, this is a fantastic image of a female cardinal! The soft background dotted by bits of piled snow makes a perfect backdrop for this winter visitor. Fav!

I was surprised when I uploaded this to my computer and saw the background color because it doesn't look exactly like that. It is more grey. Then I remembered that when I took the picture of the pine trees a couple days ago I upped the green in the white balance on the camera to bring out the green of the pines. I kind of liked this myself!
