Dinner With A Stinger

I went out looking for some acorns for the word of the day, but didn't find one anywhere. I thought it was probably too early for them. But instead I was taking shots of some Goldenrod when I saw a bumblebee visiting the yellow clusters of flowers. I then noticed what I thought was a brown leaf on some other plants. I then realized that it wasn't a leaf but a praying mantis feasting on a bumblebee.

This is totally cool and gross at the same time!! I know it's nature, but I just hate to see anything be or being killed!! Great POV and composition! Isn't it cool to find surprises when looking for something else? Awesome details and lighting! FAV!
