Rainy Day in Steelertown

I made the trip to Pittsburgh this morning with my daughter. As you approach the city from the north on I-279 you are greeted with this skyline view. I didn't take my camera with me as I didn't want to lug it (camera and case) around and I didn't want to leave it in the car while in a parking garage either. I apologize for my posts being out of chronological order as of late. Right now my life is all over the place. I am just going to go with the flow and not fight it. And no I wasn't driving. I was just another pair of eyes trying to get off the Seventh Street exit. As it turned out we arrived at the perfect time as traffic was light.
I like how they have tried to cover some of the concrete with trees. Nice skyline and sky.

What a lovely image...not always so easy through the windshield! The skyline is beautiful and your post processing, excellent!

I like the processing here, seems to be making the best of a, maybe not too high rez shot, and turns out looking rather like a smooth painted version. I also like the contrast between the cool, bluish tones of the distant city and the warmer tones of the surrounding roadway.

Great capture, composition

I like the view. Highway views are fascinating to me. I hope all is well. Posting in random order is fine with me.

Pretty entrance there into Pittsburgh - spent 4 years at college in the city many years ago - my how it has changed. Like the muted blues and greens.

@milaniet - Pitt, Carnegie Mellon or Robert Morris?

@skipt07 None of the above - Chatham University - which was Chatham College (women only until this year) - loved it.

@milaniet - I have heard of Chatham, but not like you do the top three I mentioned.
