Gru, among others have been fascinated by the moon. I believe we all are to some extent. We may look at it when it can be seen from earth and at times shake our heads in disbelief at the thought that 12 people have actually walked on it!
The moon!
Have you ever wondered, why did astronomers give the moons of other planets names but not ours? Calling the moon, "The Moon, is like naming your dog, "Dog"!
As we sat outside enjoying the beautiful evening the moon looked down upon us.
@gardencat - I suppose that one of the reasons they named the moons of other planets was to easily identify them in their writings while they studied them. Since we one have one, why bother giving it a name?
Did you know that at latest count, Jupiter has 67, Saturn has over 60, Uranus has 27, and Neptune has 14 moons? Oh yes, Mars has 2 and earth has 1.
Besides I like how Gru says the word, "moon"!
