Feeling Thankful

This Thanksgiving, as I count my many blessings, I'm including the miracle of this resurrected plant. It started out as a beautiful geranium a friend gave me last summer, and that I put out on my balcony. For a while it flourished and had many beautiful flowers. Then the stinkbugs got to it (see pictures on the left--also posted here-- http://365project.org/skstein/365/2013-10-06 and http://365project.org/skstein/365/2013-10-10). The infestation was so bad I had to throw the plant out, but before doing so, I saved one small green stem with a couple of unaffected leaves on it. It sat on my windowsill all winter long, neither dying nor showing signs of growth, but then one day it started to bud, and now it is full of flowers once again. Whenever I look at it, I am reminded to keep my eyes on the Lord, and never give up, because nothing is impossible with God.
What a great story and lovely to see the plant looking so healthy now.
