Here goes my first photo of a stranger! Yay!! ;-)) I honestly admit that I've never met this boy before. He and his brother were parked next to us at the gas station and at the back of their truck there was a big cage full of lab puppies! They were too cute, so I had to go and look, and I even got to hold this little guy! The boy was a sweetie, so I asked "Can I take a picture of you and the puppy?", he said "Sure", I said "Let me grab my camera!" and ..... voila!! ;-)) I took two shots and I am in love with both! The only thing I did to this one was to convert it to black and white. The boy's eyes were gorgeous blue, so I kept them that way. After I took my photos, he asked me if I wanted a picture with the puppy. Sure enough, I said yes! The black beauty and the camera exchanged hands, and now I've got a souvenir from my day of bravery! ;-))
P.S. The inspector came by our house for a final look today. He was out in five minutes, quite impressed with all the work we've done and on his way to fill out our occupancy permit! Yay!! :-)) So happy!! ;-)) Moving in soon ;-)) I also got the most awesome birthday gift from my sister-in-law!! Stay tuned...I'll share it tomorrow! ;-)) Happy Monday, everyone!!! ;-)))
Great shot! I love the selective coloring! And that's GREAT to hear about your house! You'll be in there before ya know it! After all that hard work you guys did, you sure deserve it! :-)
wow! three cheers for bravery!!! really well done here. Gorgeous blue eyes for sure! and what a cute pup!
And Slava!!! AWESOME news about the inspection! what weight lifted off your shoulders I bet! if it were me i would be completely stressed til is was over lol! Congrats. i wish you many happy and wonderful memories in that home!
This is a wonderful picture, so cute! Congrats on your bravery, the first time I did that it was to ask to take a picture of a lady's goat. She looked at me like I was insane, but let me take the photo.
Oh, you're so brave! I've been trying to psych myself up to ask complete strangers if I can take their photo...somehow I haven't worked up enough courage yet. This turned out great, and what a cute puppy! :)
Great news about your house, how exciting!
Very brave of you, wish I could be...beautiful shot and what a gorgeous puppy...maybe a new dog for the new house????
Congratulations on being brave enough to ask for a photo. This came out absolutely beautifully! And a big, huge congrats on passing your home inspection! I bet you can't wait to move in!
Slava, after watching the slideshow of your house, I was thinking... wouldn't it be fun to see photos of everyone's home? I don't know about you, but I would find that really interesting. Kind of putting a place to a face... could be a theme... ?
Slava.. that's great news. I always loved it when my husband told me the final or any in between inspections went so well always in and out in no time. (he used to be a builder before retirement) as to your picture. now that was easy. wasn't it asking the boy and he was more than happy for you to take pictures of his puppies. the picture is so cute of the both of them.
It doesn't surprise me at all that you should have connected with this young man over puppy love! What is a lovely picture...I don't suppose you found out where you might give him a copy? And so nice and thoughtful of him to offer to take your picture, too! Tell me your secret of resisting going home without one of these darling puppies! Only once Ken and I passed a truck with Samoyed puppies and we came home with "Snowcrop" who lived a long, healthy life with us!
It's always a delight to read your captions and hear about birthday gifts and home improvement...what a lot you have to look forward to! Have a good week!
great shot. Yay, for you for taking a pic of a complete stranger. I would have been super nervous. They puppy is so adorable, I agree with Louise, how could you resist one? lol
Happy, Tuesday to you! I love your picture and am impressed with your asking a stranger! I have only done that a few times and only once has the answer been "NO!". Most people don't mind but then they want to see the picture on the internet. I never have anything to write on and try to tell them to remember the 365 address. Anyway - lucky you didn't leave with more than your pictures - like a black lab puppy. Not more more enduring than that. Hard to resist!
Aww, what a sweet puppy and photo (hope you cleared it with his parents!) I'm surprised you didn't take this puppy home! The boy looks sad though--maybe he wanted to keep them?
thank you all so much for the comments!! No, I didn't take the puppy home. It was too cute, but I am a cat person... ;-)
@ Clarissa: I think the boy loved the puppies a lot (hence the sadness in his eyes)! They were keeping one caramel girl, and he said they only give them to people they know, to make sure they'll be in a loving home! ;-) I wish I had taken his phone or address, to send him the photo, but I was so excited, that i completely forgot...
This boy does look like a sweet little guy. And it's obvious that he will have a heard time giving away (or selling) his precious puppies. Very nice photo, Slava!
Great story- good ting you asked!! And you got a great shot for only two tries- I really love how both the boy and the dog are facing the camera- and the face on the boy is priceless. Nice!!

( did you buy your sister a puppy then ? lol )
way to go brave girl! (:
