Tried my hand at Manual mode for Aperture setting and Shutter speed for this picture. I liked the look and the detail of this birdhouse. Wanted to capture the sunlight like it was at that time. Did a f/5.6 aperture setting and a 1/60 s shutter speed. Pretty basic i guess. Looking forward to feedback and critisicm so i can get better.
whata cool birdhouse! I really like this photo, I think the light and focus seem just right. I'm doing the camera settings challenge too and I've already learned a few things :)
@sabaa thank you. @roachling thank you for the detailed feedback. All the best for your challenge. this is fun and a great learning experience. @faylin@boogie thank you for the kind comments. @melorac thank you :) you are too kind. @debbim thank you Debbi, i was really enjoying trying different apertures to see the difference in DOFs at various F points. Very cool learning experience. @paintdipper thank you @janets thank you. It was abeautiful morning. @marlboromaam Thank you. It is a very pretty birdhouse. This was at a friends house. I am leaning towards getting one for my backyard because it is too cute. I will tell my friends to refill there birdhouse :)
If this is your first attempt at manual you will have no problems. You captured the light beautifully and the focus and DOF are just right! Nice shot , Smitha!
@grammyn Thank you. I have taken pictures before in manual mode but not with the deliberation and effort on aperture settings as on this one.. I generally focus on capturing the 'moment' and this was more an attempt in learning aperture and shutter speed control. 365 is amazing, I learn so many new things to do with camera everyday from pro photographers like you.. Inspiring people, inspiring site....thank you.
Great lighting! Great job for your first attempt at manual! I would say you got it down:) I too have this same exact bird feeder. I am with Maam on lifting that chimney up and filling it ha ha:) Thank you for the add Smitha:)
