Trees are still green - so did this in gentle monotone...

Definitely in a monotone mood at the moment...
Lovely capture and sun flare

I like the light coming through the trees. I think the monotone, shows the light. Nice Photo.

Nice Kev, good composition. Made me laugh thinking about that shot of the cabin in the bluebell wood. Go on... Have a Fav. Plus, I'm pretty sure you mean monochrome. Monotone photos are vastly inferior, unless you like blank images...

@tomo87 I did actually mean monotone - use of a single tone (or hue) at different brightnesses and saturations (as opposed to just black and white). You an tell I've just being reading a book on exposure.

@snaggy yes, I know where you're coming from. The broader meaning of the term. I misspent half of my art classes at school arguing it with the teacher... I just prefer the chrome and tone definition...I.e. monochrome- to define the use of one colour, and tones to define the greyscales within that colour.. I've not become much more accepting now (of many things;.as you will know anyway!). However since you're well aware of the two definitions... I'll leave you to it!

Enjoying the monochrome vs monotone debate - I think I've just learnt something :) Apart from that this is a fabulous image, great composition and processing. FAV
