Morris dancing

these morris dancers were dancing at the Flower festival yesterday . It's a lively traditional English dance, dancers costumes that are mainly black and white and have small bells attached, and often carry handkerchiefs or sticks
what fun... makes you want to dance with them... love these kind of festivals...

I always enjoy watching ll the traditional dances of the various cultures. And it makes me happy to know these traditions are being passed down.

Oh, and to answer your question about weather the river water was warm enough to swim in...oh, yes, especially with these hot, hot temps we've been having!

They were all out at the weekend these morris dancers, I also got photos of some lady morris dancers, with groovy stripy sock and clogs on, almost worth considering joining in just to wear the socks! Didn't Dad join in??
